'World's largest dinosaur' discovered in Argentina
Meet Mr. Titanosaur: As heavy as 14 African elephants, as long as 2 tractor trailers
The biggest beast to have ever strolled the world - a 130 ft and weighing 77 tonnes dinosaur - had been found in Argentina, palaeontologists have claimed. The massive bones were discovered by a native farm worker in a desert in Patagonia, the southern Argentine area which has revealed a lot of significant dinosaur discoveries.
Determined by the scale of the thigh bones – taller compared to a regular male – the dinosaur could have been 130 ft in length and 65 ft in height, scientists said.
Its calculated 77-tonne weight might have made it as heavy as 14 African elephants, beating the former record owner, Argentinosaurus , by some seven tonnes.
